Cynthia Velasco Hampton, Treasurer

Cynthia is a Senior Systems Specialist at the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and has been her church treasurer for ten years. Cynthia Hampton is a former Jehovah’s Witness who left the cult when she was twenty-four. Two years later, she became a Christian when she realized the Watchtower was a false teacher and a false prophet. Her moment of revelation came when the Watchtower stated that Jesus Christ was only mediator for 144,000 “anointed” Jehovah’s Witnesses, as the Watchtower teaches that only 144,000 will go to heaven.

Cynthia and her husband, David, currently live in California. They have three grown, married children and three grandchildren.

Studying apologetics has made her confident in her faith and she desires to teach believers how to defend their faith effectively in their context.

Jade and her husband, Jonathan, currently live in Louisiana. Jonathan also has an M.A. in Christian Apologetics and the two of them graduated together in 2017 from NOBTS. Jade and Jonathan are also engaged in year-round music ministry.
